I Became a Statistic Last Night

I fell.  In the bathroom.  And broke my upper left arm.  Currently, I am “swathed.”  I don’t see the orthopedic doctor until Tuesday.  I’m a little nervous about this.  School starts August 12th, and it seems I will still be swathed at that time.

On the bright side, though, when the X-ray tech brought me back to my room, I mentioned that some good would come of this, but I didn’t know what as of yet, to which he responded with a smile, “That’s what Romans 8:28 says.”

God gave me encouagement right when I needed it.

Oh, dear! I hope you heal quickly and painlessly!

Thanks. I am learning that my left hand was under-appreciated!

Sorry about your arm. My mom broke her arm horse back riding when I was in my teens. That was really hard for me taking care of her plus being in high school. She broke her upper arm. Get well soon!

Sorry to hear about your arm,and I hope it heals quickly, but you are right. God can bring something good out of this.

I admire you–a broken arm and yet you blog about it! I’d be curled up in a corner, sucking my thumb (the one on the “good” arm).

Thanks for your good wishes. Bluestocking, I bet your Mom sure appreciated your help! Sally, I did consider curling up during my ER visit. And Carol, the doctor said yesterday that I am healing well. My shoulder joint needs to realign, and I need to be patient for eight weeks. I will be learning during that time, I’m sure.
