I was tagged by Carol to play this little game.

Here is how it works.

1. Pick up the nearest book(of at least 123 pages).

2. Open the book to page 123.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the next 3 sentences.

5. Tag five people.

I don’t really know that I will tag five people, but here’s my entry. (I never won at tag when I was a kid, anyway.) I would love some comments along this line, though!

How Should We Then Live by Francis A. Schaeffer

Jacques-Louis David (1748-1825) depicted this in his painting The Oath of the Tennis Court. Here members of the National Assembly swore to establish a constitution. Their base, consciously, was purely a humanistic theory of rights.

    I will play.

    1. (my favorite book of all time, which i am reading i think the 7th time? i dont know why) Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

    2. opened book

    3. “we had a flurry getting the old lady off, and I had a fright every time she spoke to me, for i was in such a hurry to be through the i was uncommonly helpful and sweet, and feared she’d find it impossible to part from me. i quaked till she was off fairly in the carraige, and had a final freight, for as it drove off, she popped out her head, saying, ‘Josyphine, won’t you -?’I didn’t hear anymore, for i basely turned and fled. i did actually run, and whisked round the corner where i felt safe.”

“Poor old Jo, came in looking as if bears were after her,” said beth, as she cuddled her sisters feet with a motherly air.

“Aunt march is a regular SAMPHIRE, is she not.” observed amy, tasting her mixture critcally.

“She means VAMPIRE, not seasweed, but it doesn’t matter; it’s to warm to be particular about one’s parts of speech” murmured Jo with a grimace on her face.

    4. no tagging will be done

Thanks for playing, Melissa. It’s been a long time since I read LITTLE WOMEN. You’ve made me think about picking it up again.

it is just such a great story and has countless moral and biblical words of wisdom for any situation faced, from being a young child to starting a new family to being an old married couple watching their children leave. it is just so great!
