Will You Be at the Pole?

Tomorrow is the day for See You at the Pole. Things start at my high school at 7 in the morning. I will be tutoring a student, so I will be there only in spirit. What about you? If you aren’t in school, you can still pray for the students and teachers in your community who are brave enough to demonstrate their faith in this way.

My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

John 17:20-23

    Hi Becky,

Thanks for posting about this. I would have had no idea it was going to happen. Do you think there will be a lot of participation at your school? You hear about so many negative things in the news. It sure would be nice to hear reports on how this goes in different parts of the country.

    Hi Carol,

There was quite a bit of participation at our school. My school is rural, and we also have a chapter of Fellowship for Christian Athletes, something I didn’t see when I worked in the city where I live.

As far as I can tell, mainstream media does not cover See You at the Pole. For coverage, I listen to my local Christian radio station. They have people call in and tell where they are, how many people are there, and how things are going. You can also go back to the See You at the Pole site that I linked to above and read their reports on the next three Fridays: Sept. 28, Oct. 5 and Oct. 12. 🙂

I remember going to See You at the Pole when I was in High School.
