Bill and Marilyn’s Retirement Advice

The hubby and I have been trying to come up with a transition plan for retirement. In that vein, I decided to quiz the people I know who seem happily retired. Bill and Marilyn are one such couple.

Marilyn worked for a while after Bill retired, as I intend to do. She said it can be done. More importantly, she said that people worry about finances, but somehow things work out.

Bill heard our conversation and came up to add,"If you wait until you can afford it, you will never go."

It's just that it's such a BIG change. A while ago, I heard an illustration about big changes. It compared them to standing at the edge of a cliff. If you won't jump, you will never know if you can fly. Or that God will catch you. All true.

But why does it have to be a cliff?
