The Minivan Hit the Train

Stuff like this just makes me sort of mad, and I thought I would blog in the railroad’s defense. See the headline to this article? It says “Train Hits Car.” However, if you read the article, the minivan hit the train. The engineer blew his whistle like he was supposed to, and the “red flashing lights” (crossing protection) did work.

My husband and an awful lot of people like him work hard to make sure that people don’t get hurt at railroad crossings. The simple fact of the matter is that trains have the right of way at a crossing, so if you are not careful, you may get hurt. I am VERY sorry anyone got hurt, but that headline makes the railroad look like it is at fault, and the evidence in the article says otherwise.

You should write a letter to the editor of the newspaper.
