Parenting and Housekeeping

My children are fifteen months apart, and I don’t remember raising them as being, on the whole, a strenuous experience. Still, when I watch my son and daughter-in-law with a ten-month-old son and another just over three, I wonder how we did it.

Evidently my son does too. Yesterday he said that he didn’t see how I ever got any housekeeping done while he and his sister were young. My house wasn’t perfect, but I know why I accomplished what I did: naps and playpens. Does anyone use a playpen anymore?
