Background Checks

I get to go on another field trip, this time to see The Crucible performed in Indianapolis.   The teacher  whom I will accompany told me that all of the adults accompanying us have to have background checks.  She and I had ours to get our jobs, but I had not realized that even parents were subject to such scrutiny.

Isn’t there anybody you can trust anymore?  Or can you, and we just don’t?
